Let's get to know each other
My name is Élodie and I’ve been living in Porto for almost 7 years.
I’ve been drawn to Portugal for as long as I can remember.
In fact, my father is Portuguese, and I’m one of those people who used to make the trip by car every summer, my legs curled up because of the suitcases, listening to old-fashioned Portuguese music!
Today, I have nothing but good memories!
The fact that my dad is from the North of France was certainly a factor, but not the only one…
I love the colors of this city, the narrow streets, the smell, the scenery, the kindness of the people.
I love the women in the market when they shout (yes, Portuguese women don’t talk, they shout) for people to come to their stalls; the smell of old grocery stores like in my childhood.
Enjoy a polvo with a good vinho verde on the banks of the Douro river
Going dancing with my friends at 116 and feeling safe all the time.

I’m Lucile, who’s been in Porto for 5 years, and I’ve fallen under the spell of this city and the whole country.
Naturally dynamic and very sociable, I enjoy interacting with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
Porto is such a rich and tranquil city, we can walk around it hundreds of times, there will always be new things, stories, details to discover.

I’m Baptiste Lopes, (born in France, of Portuguese origin), a history student at the University of Porto, who “returned” to the region after my grandparents emigrated to France.
Working for Portours made sense, as a way of satisfying my passion for sharing Portuguese History and Culture (and when I say Culture, I mean all those beautiful things that make us love Portugal: its music, its architecture, its traditions, its language and its art of living!)
Porto is my madeleine de Proust and my future.
I’d say it’s a city that resembles me and that I understand, adapting to new realities very quickly, while retaining its eclectic, old-world charm.
My favorite dish is probably the simple but effective ” Feijoada à Transmontana “, a childhood dish from my native region.
One of my favorite events in Porto is St. John’s Day (St. John the Baptist, coincidence?).
The whole city vibrates to a different rhythm, you can feel the festivities in the souls of all Portuguese people, and the events that take place here are the most beautiful (just look at those fireworks on the Luis Bridge!).
